On September 17–18th, 2025, Benue State will host a gathering that is more than just an event—it is a movement. The Benue Youth Summit, spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Creativity, is set to position young people not merely as beneficiaries but as true agents of change.
With over 60% of our population made up of youth, this Summit provides a historic platform to confront the pressing challenges of unemployment, political exclusion, education gaps, and mental health. Through high-level dialogues, innovation pitches, skills development, and policy advocacy, we are unleashing the power of young people to transform their communities and shape the future of Benue State and Nigeria.

Themed “Empowered Youth, Sustained Future,” the Summit will launch groundbreaking initiatives including:
-
The Benue Youth Policy, Sports Policy, Creativity & Innovation Policy, and the first-ever sub-national Youth Development Plan (YDP).
-
A state-wide Youth Volunteer Corps to drive community action.
-
Climate Smart Agriculture with 10,000 hectares dedicated to creating green jobs and sustainable food systems.
-
Bold programs in entrepreneurship, peacebuilding, education, and climate action, backed by mentorship, finance, and collaboration with government, private sector, and civil society.
This is not just about two days of conversation—it is the beginning of a long-term commitment to transform the lives of young people, co-create sustainable solutions, and build a generation that is empowered, purpose-driven, and globally relevant.
🌍 The Benue Youth Summit is a declaration. A promise. A movement.
We call on leaders, policymakers, development partners, traditional institutions, private sector actors, and civil society to be part of this transformative journey. Your participation is vital in shaping a future where Benue youth rise as trailblazers of innovation, peace, and prosperity.
👉 Join us on September 17–18, 2025. Together, let’s build a future that works—for the youth, for Benue, and for generations to come.
